I’m working on a new painting of white peonies. I love the subtle splendor of color that illuminates from within the petals. Take the time to take a hard long look at white in nature. There is a lot more color than you think.

Before I get carried away on color I must define my values with an Underpainting of Burnt Siena and ultramarine blue.
